In other words, you will condense your six paragraphs into a single paragraph. Remember, this is not a sentence summary, so it needs to be more detailed than what you would include in an introduction paragraph.

And how has this obsession with having ever more and ever cheaper goods and services affected workers? Refer to any of our course readings that help you understand how we are convinced to buy and the effects of that buying on others.

Activity for 2/21
1. In The Story of Stuff, Annie Leonard was inspired to research the materials economy after noticing the mounds of garbage on New York City streets. Briefly recount a time when you were inspired to research something after witnessing or experiencing something that enraged you or piqued your interest. Be sure to explain what the end result of your research was. Be sure to begin your answer with a thesis statement that restates part of the prompt!
2. Revise your thesis from #1 to be even more direct and specific. Be as specific as possible while still remaining direct and concise.
